We are delighted to announce the appointment of Edel Duffy, Capability Manager at Boots Ireland as the Chair of the Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision Consortium Steering Group. Edel is a highly experienced HR professional with over 20 years’ experience within the retail industry. She is passionate about developing people and creating a talent pipeline for the wider retail sector.

The Programme Manager Dr. Oran Doherty said, “Edel has been a member of the Consortium Steering Group over the last 5 years and we have benefited from her broad experience and knowledge. It will be fantastic to work closely with Edel as Chair to ensure the Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision programme continually evolves to meet the needs of the retail sector.

Oran acknowledged the role of the outgoing chairman, Shane Flynn.  He said, “I would like to thank Shane for all his commitment to the Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision Consortium Steering Group during the last five years, he has played an instrumental role in shaping the apprenticeship into what it is today.”
