The Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision is a 2-year Level 6 programme targeting existing retail employees who have been identified by employers as future managers in their organisation. The Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision programme is delivered using a combination of on-the-job, classroom, online, and independent learning.
People working in retail know that it is more than a job in a shop – it is a fast-paced, ever-changing role that offers a wide variety of experiences in areas such as customer service, selling, supply chain, financial reporting and much more. The Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision programme offers people who want to develop their skills and gain new knowledge in key retail disciplines an opportunity to gain a Level 6 qualification, whilst they work full-time.
What’s Involved
The Apprenticeship in Retail Supervision programme is a 2-Year programme that allows you to continue to work full-time whilst gaining a Level 6 qualification.
Entry Requirements
Applications to enrol an Apprentice must come from a retailer. All apprentices must be supported by their retail employer for the duration of the two-year programme.
Course Modules
Apprentices must complete 13 modules over the two-year programme. Modules are delivered in sequence so apprentices complete one module at a time.

Cost and €4,000 Employer Grant
There is no cost associated with registering an apprentice. Employers must support their apprentice with days off work to attend class, a laptop, travel and accommodation costs. There is an Employers Grant of €4,000 available to retailers for each employee they enrol on the programme.
